How does it help your metabolism?

Pineapple

Contains bromelain, a compound that speeds up the digestion process and helps your body absorb nutrients more easily, which can potentially boost your metabolism. If your body is able to digest food faster, that speeds up your metabolism.

Cucumber

Hydration is essential to a fast metabolism and cucumber is high in water, which acts as a diuretic and prevents bloating.

Celery

High in water and fibre. The digestion process uses up calories and it takes more calories to digest fibre than other nutrients. In other words, you're forcing your body to exercise.

There's a myth that celery is actually 'calorie negative', meaning you burn more calories digesting it than you take in from eating it. This is false, as you actually burn 2 calories for every 10 calories of celery consumed.

Acai

Full of fibre and essential fatty acids. These EFAs help your body burn fat more quickly by putting it at the head of the queue when your body is looking for a source of energy.
