Job Description

Are you a GP looking for a new challenge? If so, you could be perfect for our Medical Officer role.

 

You'll work with our digital doctors and in-house team to make sure our patients get the best possible care.

 

From reviewing consultations and prescriptions, to training our GPs and working with Design and Marketing, you'll help us shape the future of healthcare.

Responsibilities

Monitoring

  • Review of consultations (currently every 10th consultation)
  • Review of specific consultations related to complaint or concern
  • Review of children’s consultations
  • Significant events - compiling SEA, reviewing SEA and trends and develop and implement quality improvement from SEA Audit

Working with colleagues

  • Liaise with Customer Service, Operations and Customer Relationship teams
  • Liaise with GPs, other clinical staff & in house pharmacist

Prescription review

  • Daily review of multiple prescriptions
  • Identification of new medications to blacklist
  • Liaising with customer service and GPs re medication issues

Process development

  • Liaising with IT, Design, Lifestyle and User Experience
  • Policies and development of processes
  • Long term condition management
  • Programme development and delivery
  • Lifestyle programme development, implementation and monitoring

GP Training

  • Developing and monitoring GP training
  • GP evaluation
  • Developing forum for GP communication
  • Developing training programmes for CPD Weekly newsletter

Skills Specification

  • Fully qualified UK GP on NHS Performers List
  • Completed appropriate and ongoing training
    • Appraisal and revalidation
    • Safeguarding level 4
    • Information governance
    • Whistle blowing
    • Equality and diversity
    • and any others required
