Microphone Troubleshooting

USB Mics

  • Try swapping ports. If you're using a USB port on the front of your desktop case, switch it to one at back. If you are using a laptop, try an another port.
  • Once you have done this, refresh your screen and try again.

Make sure your Mic is correctly configured on Windows

Make sure your mic is properly configured on windows:

  • Go to control panel, choose the "Sound" panel, select the Recording tab, select the microphone and click the Set Default button. There is a bar next to your microphone and this should move up and down when sound is detected.
  • Once you have done this, refresh your screen and try again.

Close down conflicting applications

  • Programs such as TeamSpeak, Skype, Ventrilo and others can sometimes "steal" the microphone. We recommend closing these programs before consulting to ensure Push Doctor has full access to your microphone.
  • Once you have done this, refresh your screen and try again.
