Sir John Chisholm is Executive Chair of the Genomics England board
Ed Smith is the Chairman of the Push Doctor Strategy and Governance Board.
He recently retired as the Chairman of NHS Improvement and was the lead Non-Executive Director for the Department for Transport between 2015-2017.
Ed is the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council at the University of Birmingham.
He was the former Global Assurance Chief Operating Officer and Strategy Chairman of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Before retiring he had a successful 30-year career with PwC, becoming Senior Partner and holding many leading board and top client roles in the UK and globally.
Ed has also been Deputy Chair of NHS England and Treasurer of Chatham House.
Mat is a retired GB athlete and a Director of ‘IO-Reality’, a medical technology start-up.
Other current positions include Non-Executive Director for the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport; Non-Executive Director of the Medicine and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency; and a member of the Medical Technologies Advisory Committee at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
He was recently Chair of the Review Challenge Panel for the UK anti-doping review.
Marc Farr is the Director of Information at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.
From 2004 – 2010 he was Head of Development at Dr Foster Ltd, and previously the Head of Public Sector Consulting at Experian Ltd.
He is also the Founder and CEO of www.beautifulinformation.org.
Michael is currently a member of NHS England South West Local Professional Network for Pharmacy.
He is the CEO for Somerset Local Pharmaceutical Committee and sits on the council of NAPC, leading the community pharmacy development forum.
Michael was previously the national Business Development Manager of Healthcare Services for primary care and public health at Lloydspharmacy-Celesio UK.
Christine Outram is the Chair at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and has over 20 years’ experience at leadership level in the NHS.
She has held a number of top level posts including Chief Executive of North London SHA, Chief Executive of NHS Leeds and senior roles at NHS England, as well as at the Department of Health.
Her work has included national work to improve the education and training of professional staff in the health service.
Sir John Chisholm is Executive Chair of the Genomics England board, and has previously worked as Chair of the Medical Research Council, as well as Nesta.
Sir John is a past president of the IET and holds a number of honorary Doctorates and Fellowships, including the Royal Academy of Engineering. He was knighted in 1999.
